Details

In addition to increasing our energy security and reducing our emissions, renewable energy is bringing real jobs and investment to the UK.

From manufacturing, to construction, engineering and operations; to biomass feedstock handling companies to environmental consultancies – there are a huge range of examples of growth in renewable energy creating opportunities across the sectors.

To illustrate the benefits that renewables can have within the green economy, ORED has been routinely gathering data on individual contracts and projects from April 2011.

To date, we have predominantly sourced our investment and jobs data from publically available information and renewables trade publications.

If you are a renewable energy developer or company operating in the supply chain and would like to contribute information on renewable investment or jobs please contact: ored@decc.gsi.gov.uk
