These reports set out the findings and recommendations on children’s social care services in Stoke-on-Trent City Council from the:
- children’s services improvement adviser: November 2024
- commissioner for children’s social care: September 2019
They follow a report by Ofsted in February 2019 that judged the overall effectiveness of the council’s children’s services to be inadequate.
The Department for Education (DfE) issued a revised direction to Stoke-on-Trent City Council alongside the Report into children’s services, Stoke-on-Trent City Council: September 2019. This direction was revoked on 10 February 2025.
