Report on patient, staff and public views on the NHS Constitution.

The reports set out:

  • awareness and understanding of the constitution in the NHS
  • the impact the constitution is having on the NHS
  • progress made and areas for improvement to help embed the constitution in the NHS

The Health Act 2009 requires a report into the effect of the constitution to be published every 3 years.

The letter from NHS Future Forum advises the Health Secretary on the effect of the constitution and outlines the need to raise awareness and promote real understanding of the constitution.
