This regulatory position statement (RPS) does not change your legal requirement to comply with all the assessment and notification requirements contained in Chapter 1 of Part 2 of Schedule 9 of the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 when you both:
- consolidate waste material into bulk quantities
- receive less than 75 tonnes of waste material per supplier per reporting period
However, the Environment Agency will not normally take enforcement action if you do not comply with Chapter 1 of Part 2 of Schedule 9 of the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 if you meet the requirements in the RPS.
The regulatory position does not apply to any other legal requirements.
