This regulatory position statement (RPS) does not change your legal requirement to comply with the notification requirements contained in paragraph 1(2) of Chapter 1 of Part 2 of Schedule 9 of the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 when you both:
- consolidate waste material into bulk quantities
- receive less than 75 tonnes of waste material per supplier per reporting period
However, the Environment Agency will not normally take enforcement action if you do not comply with paragraph 1(2) of Chapter 1 of Part 2 of Schedule 9 of the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 if you meet the requirements in the RPS.
The regulatory position does not apply to any other legal requirements.
