Details

Research commissioned by BIS to provide a better understanding of small and medium-sized enterprises’ (SMEs’) use of business support i.e. formal sources of external assistance. Looks at the reasons for barriers, whether there is evidence of market failure, and the extent to which there is latent demand for business support services. Based on a telephone survey of the owner-managers of 1202 employer SMEs in England undertaken in March 2011. The data underlying this report is also available in an open standardised format on the Transparency/Report Data webpage.
