This joint report follows the eighth meeting of the Specialised Committee on Citizens’ Rights on 16 September 2021. It provides information on the progress of implementing residence rights under the Citizens’ Rights part of the Withdrawal Agreement. It covers residence rights for EU citizens in the UK and UK nationals in the EU, including their family members.

The report includes a summary of residence systems in the UK and the EU which provides:

  • a summary of each national system with relevant links
  • details of communications and support
  • information on deadlines
  • grounds for late applications
  • the numbers of applications for a new residence status or registrations for a new residence document, by type and outcome
