Details

In 2017, the Home Office commissioned the Law Commission to review and provide recommendations on the suspicious activity reports (SARs) regime, and consider whether there is scope for reform.

In 2019, the Law Commission published its report, titled ‘Anti-money laundering: the SARs regime’.

The Home Office accepts or partially accepts 13 of the 19 recommendations in the report.
