‘Shifting the scales: Transforming the criminal justice response to domestic abuse’ set out the Domestic Abuse Commissioner’s vision for reform of the criminal justice system to ensure a holistic, multi-agency approach to all victims and survivors of domestic abuse.

The government has accepted 2 recommendations and partially accepted 9. One has not been accepted. Where a recommendation has not been accepted, it is because the government considers that it is is meeting the aims of the recommendation by other means.
