Review of power generation costs for technologies eligible for Contracts for Difference
Reviews of cost assumptions for onshore wind, solar photovoltaic, energy from waste and advanced conversion technologies.
Documents
Details
These reviews cover updates to the cost and technical assumptions for the following technologies eligible for the Contracts for Difference (CfD) renewable deployment scheme:
- onshore wind
- solar photovoltaic (PV)
- energy from waste (EfW) with combined heat and power (CHP)
- advanced conversion technologies (ACT) with combined heat and power (CHP)
The evidence drawn from these reviews will inform a forthcoming update to the Department’s Generation Costs Report.
However, prior to this, the evidence has been incorporated in the development of auction parameters for the previous CfD Allocation Round 4 and now CfD Allocation Round 5.
