Details

The review process aims to assess whether the strategic objectives of the research programme have been met, report on the quality of science and policy relevance and look at future priorities.

Researchers presented their projects to a broad forum of stakeholders, expert independent peer reviewers and policy officers, and further discussions amongst a group of peer reviewers, policy officers and other funders appraised each sub-programme strategically.

The document provides recommendations from reviewers and stakeholders that Defra has already begun to address and will be used to steer future research requirements.
