This equalities impact assessment looks into the impact of changing the 16 to 19 funding condition for students without a good pass in English and maths at the academic age of 15. The changes would mean that from August 2015, full-time students with prior attainment of grade D or lower in English and/or maths GCSE/iGCSE would be required to study GCSE in these subjects in 16 to 19 study programmes.

The impact assessment studies the impact the changes will have on pupils or students based on:

  • disability
  • gender
  • pregnancy and maternity
  • race religion or belief
  • gender reassignment and sexual orientation
