This direction requires the council to cooperate with a commissioner appointed by the Secretary of State.

It follows publication on 29 January 2018 of a report by Ofsted that judged the overall effectiveness of Buckinghamshire’s children’s social care services as inadequate.

This direction has closed and a direction issued by DfE on 12 July 2018 replaces it.
