Statutory direction issued to Herefordshire Council in relation to children's services.

This direction has now closed. A revised direction issued in February 2025 replaces it.
This direction requires the council to continue to co-operate with the commissioner appointed by the Secretary of State for Education.
It follows:
- an Ofsted inspection report of Herefordshire Council local authority children’s services published 21 September 2022 that judged services to be inadequate across all sub judgements
- an independent report by Eleanor Brazil, the Secretary of State’s Commissioner for Herefordshire Children Services Commissioner
This direction replaces the earlier statutory direction issued to the council in September 2022.
