Details
This revised direction requires that the council continues to improve its children’s social care services.
It follows an Ofsted report which judged the overall effectiveness of those services to be inadequate.
An independent report by the Commissioner for Children’s Services in Worcestershire recommended that the council should work with the commissioner and Department for Education to develop an alternative way to provide children’s services.
This direction has closed. A direction issued by DfE on 17 September 2019 replaces it.
