RGCM Limited: application made to abstract water

RGCM Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from River Terrace Deposits (Upper Aquifer) at 56-58 Marsh Wall, London, E14 9TP within the boundary formed by straight lines running between the following National Grid References: TQ 37411 79850, TQ 37401 79822, TQ 37435 79815, and TQ 37441 79840.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 24 cubic metres an hour

  • 652 cubic metres a day

  • 130,050 cubic metres a year

  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The purpose of the abstraction is dewatering during construction.
