Details

A policy document outlining the effects of the introduction of The Ecodesign of Energy Related Products Directive (ErP) and The Energy Labelling Directive for heat pumps. These implement a new standard methodology for calculating the efficiency of heat pumps, set a minimum performance criteria, and introduce a product and system label that display the energy efficiency of the product. Regulations, referencing new industry standards that implement ErP, will be laid on 6 July 2015, with provisions relating to ErP coming into force on 26 September 2015.
