Rhona J K Bulwer-Long & Sarah J Bulwer-Long t/a William Long Farms has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from a reach between National Grid References TG 12534 25448 and TG 12534 25265 from un-named drains within the Norfolk Rivers IDB on a tributary of the River Wensum near Cawston, Norfolk.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 72 cubic metres an hour
- 1,728 cubic metres a day
- 90,000 cubic metres a year
Water is proposed to be abstracted between November and March and stored in a reservoir for the subsequent use of spray irrigation.
