Richard Danforth has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from underground strata comprising of Lower Magnesian Limestone at National Grid Reference SE 45630 47101 at Walton Lodge Farm, near Walton.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
For the purpose of spray irrigation:

64 cubic metres an hour

1,364 cubic metres a day

40,000 cubic metres a year
-
between 1 April and 31 October inclusive in each year.
For the purpose of agriculture other than irrigation:

64 cubic metres an hour

1,364 cubic metres a day

8,180 cubic metres a year
-
between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The aggregate quantity of water authorised to be abstracted under this licence shall not exceed 1,364 cubic metres per day and 64 cubic metres per hour.
