Some of our best achievements delivered between 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2022. These are separated out into 4 areas of our business that we know our customers are most interested in. Although we cannot include all our achievements this gives our customers a quick highlight.
Boat registration
- £4.2 million income
- 16,053 boats registered
- £49,000 more income from British Canoeing membership
Enforcement activity
- 1,066 hours / 1,998 miles of patrols
- 2,114 registrations checks
- 2 successful prosecutions
- 27 speed and wash warning notices
Lock sites
- Resident Lock and Weir Keepers at all 45 locks
- 24 Seasonal Relief Lock and Wier Keepers
- 178 volunteers returned to lock sites
- 2,148 volunteer days completed
Infrastructure
- £9.5 million invested
- 23 major projects delivered or developed
- 45 wrecks and 1 car removed
- 6 large shoals removed
