How to find the lock

Address: Goring, Oxfordshire, RG8 9AE.

Follow the B4009 to the Goring on Thames side of Goring and Streatley Bridge.

From the High Street, turn south on to Lock Approach. Follow Lock Approach to the river and turn right. Follow the path north and upstream to the lock. The route is marked on the map with a green dashed line.

Facilities

There is no car parking at the lock.

You may park in the Wheel Orchard Car Park in Goring village (approximately half a mile from the lock).

No toilets are available at the lock. The nearest toilets are at the Wheel Orchard Car Park in Goring village (approximately half a mile from the lock).

Where to fish

There are two fishing areas at Goring Lock. These areas are marked in red on the map.

Lock island

Cross the lock gates. You may fish in the weir channel at the downstream end of the island.

Towpath

From the lock, follow the path south and downstream. Cross the footbridge. You may fish between this footbridge and the next footbridge.
