The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Blue Phoenix Limited.

Regulated facility type
This site currently treats and stores up to 275,000 tonnes of non-hazardous incinerator bottom ash per year. They have applied to make the following changes to this permit:
•Increasing annual tonnage throughput from 275,000 tonnes to 400,000 tonnes per year. There is no change to waste codes. •Extending the site boundary •Installation of new processing equipment •Addition of two new lagoons to contain run-off and provide the process with water when required.
