Details
Mr Rosenfield left his role as Chief of Staff at 10 Downing Street in February 2022.
Director of Strategy, Centrica plc
Mr Rosenfield sought the Committee’s advice about taking up a role with Centrica plc*. The letter containing the Committee’s consideration and the conditions imposed on the appointment was sent in September 2022; and the appointment was taken up in October 2022. An accessible version of this letter can be found here.
*Mr Rosenfield informed the Committee of an update to his role in June 2023. He said Centrica was establishing an in-house capability to finance and track smart meters for British Gas. This would be done via a standalone company, wholly-owned by, and within, Centrica. In his capacity as Director of Strategy for Centrica, Mr Rosenfield planned to serve as a director in this company. The Committee considered the update to this role did not change its assessment of the risks under the government’s Business Appointment Rules. The role remained internal to Centrica and Committee considered the conditions already imposed on this appointment remain appropriate.
Non-Executive Chairman, Windmill Hill Asset Management Limited
Mr Rosenfield sought the Committee’s advice about taking up a role with Windmill Hill Asset Management Limited. The letter containing the Committee’s consideration and the conditions imposed on the appointment was sent in July 2022; and the appointment was taken up in September 2022. An accessible version of this letter can be found here.
