Details

The Rough Sleeping Prevention and Recovery Grant, (RSPARG) will provide a total of £185.6 million to local authorities across England in 2025-26 to support people experiencing rough sleeping in their local areas.

This funding forms part of a total funding package of nearly £1 billion for homelessness and rough sleeping services in 2025-26 and marks a crucial step towards getting the country back on track to ending homelessness.

The new streamlined funding, comprised of funding for rough sleeping services, Housing First and support for ex-offenders, is simplifying local authorities’ access to and management of rough sleeping grants.

Services provided through RSPARG include Housing First, accommodation, outreach staff, support for prison leavers to access private rented sector tenancies, specialist services e.g. physical and mental health, immigration advice and training to widen employment opportunities.
