Details

The Royal Mint Trading Fund has announced its annual results for 2015-2016, reflecting the highest revenue in the 1,100 year history of the organisation in financial terms. The Royal Mint Trading Fund generated £360.7m revenue (2014-15: £259.6 million) and returned an operating profit of £12.7 million (2014-15: £11.7 million). 2015-16 also saw the opening of a new visitor attraction, The Royal Mint Experience.

A key ministerial target to achieve 10% return on average capital employed was exceeded as the organisation achieved 17.9% ROACE, an increase on the previous year’s 17%, and all other ministerial targets were achieved.
