Royal Society for the Protection of Birds has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Little Ouse at National Grid References TL 70952 86431 and TL 69008 86795 in Lakenheath.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

14,444 cubic metres a day

1,000,000 cubic metres a year

between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for transferring water for the purpose of nature conservation.
