The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 involving substantial change to a permit from Shanks Waste Management Ltd.

- Regulated facility type: section 5.4 A(1)(b)(i): Recovery or a mix of recovery and disposal of non-hazardous waste with a capacity exceeding 75 tonnes per day (or 100 tonnes per day if the only waste treatment activity is anaerobic digestion) involving Biological Treatment
- Regulated facility location: Bolton Road Waste Treatment and Renewable Energy Facility, Bolton Road, Manvers, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, S63 7LL

Normally the Environment Agency must put any comments they receive on the public register. Tell the Environment Agency if you don’t want your comments to be public.
The Environment Agency must decide whether to grant or refuse the application. If they grant it, they must decide what conditions to include in the permit.
