1. Details of the application

The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 (that does not involve substantial change) from Severn Trent Water Limited.

Application number

T/76/45987/R/V001

Regulated facility type

Wastewater treatment works

Regulated facility location

Letwell Wastewater Treatment Works Barker Hades Road Letwell Worksop Nottinghamshire S81 8DF

National grid reference discharge point

SK 56654 86852

Receiving environment

Tributary of River Ryton

Effluent type

Secondary treated sewage effluent

Volume

22 DWF cubic metres per day

The variation is to reflect the reduction in the permitted FFT from 12 l/s to 1.3 l/s and amendment of the sampling point locations for the final effluent and settled storm sewage. This is due to the original works being replaced with a submerged aerated filter (package treatment plant) and improved storm flow management.
