Part of the Office of the Public Guardian’s (OPG) role is safeguarding (protecting) people at risk of abuse or neglect. This includes investigating suspected abuse by:
- deputies appointed by the Court of Protection
- attorneys appointed under a registered lasting power of attorney (LPA)
- attorneys appointed under a registered enduring power of attorney (EPA)
This document sets out OPG’s safeguarding policy.
