A summary of an accident resulting in a passenger fracturing their lower back while on a high-speed rigid inflatable boat (RIB). The flyer details the importance of appropriate seating, helmsmen training and conducting whole body vibration and shock impact risk assessments.

The information has been prepared for:

  • small high-speed craft operators
  • recreational craft users

An investigation report has also been produced for this accident.
