The Disposal Services Authority (DSA) is inviting expressions of interest for the sale of the ex-single role mine hunter, Walney for ‘further use’ or ‘recycling’.
All interested parties must e-mail: desdsa-bd1a@mod.uk and deslcsslc-dsacommercial@mod.uk no later than 17.00 (GMT) Friday 11 September 2015.
Viewings of the vessel are due to take place late September early October but only parties that have a valid Pre Qualification Questioner (PQQ) or have received confirmation their PQQ has been successful (PQQ which needs to be completed and returned for all companies not holding a valid PQQ) will be invited to tender for the vessel and attend viewings.
The Disposal Services Authority is the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) organisation with the sole authority to dispose of all MOD surplus equipment in the UK and overseas for example aircraft, aircraft spares, ships, boats, river craft and other marine vessels and spares, military and domestic’s vehicles, with the exception of nuclear, domestic waste and infrastructure. The DSA is unique in government, specialising in disposal of surplus equipment.
