School food: headteachers’ and school senior managers’ perceptions survey

Details

This report provides the results of a survey of primary and secondary school headteachers and senior managers, to examine their views on, and their school’s policies regarding, school food.

The aim of the study was to provide evidence about school attitudes towards school food to inform the school food plan. The school food plan is an independent review being carried out by Henry Dimbleby and John Vincent to build up a picture of school food in England.

The aims of the school food plan are to increase the number of children eating good food in schools, and to determine the role of food, cooking and growing fruit and vegetables in schools.
