Schools Bill: impact assessment

Details

This impact assessment provides an appraisal of the policy impacts of measures in the Schools Bill. This includes:

  • a regulatory impact assessment for measures that impact significantly upon business or charity
  • an equalities impact assessment

The Schools Bill follows the publication of the Schools White Paper in March 2022. This sets out a long-term vision for how our education system can fulfil the government’s priorities of building back better after the pandemic and levelling up across the country.

The Bill will improve education for children and help to keep them safe. It continues the efforts to ensure that every child gets a world-class education and the right support.

Policy statements for the Schools Bill are available.
