Details

The Independent Improvement Panel was set up in January 2015 following Sir Bob Kerslake’s review of the governance and organisational capabilities of Birmingham City Council in December 2014.

The Panel’s final report is available on the council’s website.

The Secretary of State agrees with the Panel’s assessment that the council needs to demonstrate further progress against the Kerslake recommendations.

He also acknowledges the Panel’s good work and welcomes a progress report in the autumn.
