The Science Advisory Council (SAC) developed this research to provide an independent perspective on the opportunities for science to support a ‘secure by design’ approach to achieve a secure, resilient and safe transport system.

This paper highlights how science and innovation can implement security into the development of new transport solutions and includes input from government officials.
