Details

A review on serious and organised waste crime was announced in June 2018. It looked at what crimes are being committed, the response and the effect of these crimes. Read the terms of reference.

The review was led by Lizzie Noel. She was supported by an advisory panel bringing a wide range of experience in serious organised crime, security, and waste. The panel included:

  • Julia Mulligan, Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire
  • Colin Church, former Chief Executive Officer at Chartered Institution of Wastes Management
  • Craig Naylor, Deputy Chief Constable in Lincolnshire Police

The final report includes recommendations for a strategic approach to serious and organised waste crime.
