Severn Trent Water Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of surface water at National Grid Reference SP 23 91.

Water will be obstructed or impeded to create a new bypass channel incorporating a deep slot fish pass with v-notch invert on part of an existing channel that will bypass a series of large concrete broad-crested weirs on the main river to deliver habitat improvements and fish migration.
