Severn Trent Water Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from surface water at National Grid Reference (NGR) SK 43 29 and to renew licence MD/028/0036/015/R02 on different terms.
The applications are to abstract water as follows:

40 cubic metres an hour

960 cubic metres a day

350,400 cubic metres a year

All year.
The application is to change the purpose for MD/028/0036/015/R02 from process water to transfer for the purpose of re-abstraction. Water will be abstracted at NGR SK 44 29 and discharged at NGR SK 43 29. The purpose on the new licence will be process water which will be abstracted at NGR SK 43 29.
