Severn Trent Water Limited: application made to abstract water

Severn Trent Water Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 03/28/63/0004 which authorises the abstraction from underground strata at National Grid References SK 58 52 and SK 57 48.
The proposal seeks to remove two abstraction points, reduce the maximum annual abstraction to 1,460,000 cubic metres, remove two existing aggregate conditions, and to add a new aggregate condition with three other licences. These proposals are part of the Water Industry National Environment Programme scheme.
The variation would come into effect on 01 April 2030.
