1. Apprenticeship readiness self-assessment survey – closing Friday

Action

Our apprenticeship readiness self-assessment survey closes at 1800 this Friday, 16 December.

If you are an apprenticeship provider, the survey will help you understand what you need to do to prepare for the apprenticeship reforms in May 2017.

Completing the survey will show you how ready you are for the reforms. The results will also help us identify any further support you might need, to make sure you can provide apprenticeships to employers paying the levy and those accessing the co-investment model.

2. Qualification achievement rates (QAR) dashboards for 2014 to 2015 and 2015 to 2016

Information

The provisional QAR data for 2015 to 2016 is in now in the final testing phase. We will be uploading the 2015 to 2016 QAR dashboards in the week commencing 19 December 2016.

In preparation for this upload we need to remove the existing QAR dashboards. Please advise all relevant colleagues that the 2014 to 2015 QAR dashboards will be unavailable after 1800 on Friday, 16 December.

The corresponding data extract files will not be affected and will remain available. The published national achievement rates tables will also remain available on GOV.UK in table and open data formats.

3. Final funding-claim statements for 2015 to 2016

Information

We are getting ready to issue 2015 to 2016 final funding-claim statements for training providers funded through a grant for their adult skills budget, discretionary learner support, advanced learning loans bursary and community learning.

We will publish final reconciliation statements on the skills funding service as soon as these are completed. Your provider manager will contact you when your statement is available.
