A devolution agreement giving Sheffield greater control over transport, skills, housing and business support was announced on 12 December 2014.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Details

The Deputy Prime Minister visited Sheffield on 12 December 2014 to confirm a devolution deal for the city. This gives the city greater control over transport, skills, housing and business support.

The deal builds on the success of the City Deal and Growth Deal already agreed for the Sheffield City Region.
