Details

Prior to 2004, most shigella diagnoses in England were associated with travel to high-incidence regions but the number of non-travel associated cases subsequently increased and started to exceed the number of travel-associated cases for all ages from 2012. Analyses of laboratory reports since 2004 are presented here.
