I was wondering if the SIA surveys or monitors security industry standards of pay at all? I have been requested by my company to research and review average pay rates for the security sector in London for guards and supervisor pay rates. I was wondering if the SIA had any open source data or survey information that could assist with this assessment?
2. Response
The SIA holds limited information relating to standards of pay in the private security industry. In July 2021 the SIA published a Report which provides a snapshot of the door supervision sector and considers employment issues. It draws on recent surveys and past research that we have conducted and uses data from our licensing system. A link to the report can be found below.
