1. Request
This is Freedom of Information request IA/00009/13
Please would you provide the policy stating that children are not permitted to wait at your test centre Croydon London.
2. Response
DSA do not hold a specific policy about children visiting theory test centres. However, the following is an extract of the Site Visitor Security Policy held by Pearson Vue who deliver the theory test on our behalf:
2.1 Site Visitor Security
Other than test centre personnel and candidates with scheduled testing appointments, the only people allowed to enter the test centre are properly authorised site visitors. Properly authorised visitors will be in one of the following categories:
- Visitors sent by Pearson or an exam sponsor (including employees, consultants and auditors)
- Assistive personnel
- Maintenance vendors, property management, law enforcement and emergency personnel
Other types of visitors are not authorised and are not permitted to remain in the test centre. Scheduled candidates have priority over visitors at all times. Visitors should not be allowed to impede or interrupt the candidate admission or testing process. Visitors are also not allowed to directly view any personal information or admissions data that a candidate may be in the process of providing during the admission process. Visitors should also refrain from asking questions of or otherwise interacting with the candidates.
