The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 from Galliford Try, Costain, Atkins (GCA) Joint Venture.

  • Application number: EPR/BB3393RV/A001
  • Regulated facility type: De-watering treatment system which utilises membrane filtration and a sediment settlement tank
  • Regulated facility location: Bredbury UID (Unsatisfactory intermittent discharge) improvement scheme, Land south west of Morrisons car park, Off Ashton Road, Bredbury, Stockport, SK6 2BR.
  • National Grid Reference discharge point: The discharge is made to a surface water sewer at SJ 92034 91748, which flows into Crookilley Brook at SJ 91816 91700.
  • Receiving environment: Crookilley Brook (Tributary of the River Goyt)
  • Effluent type: Trade effluent composed of extracted, raw ground water from the dewatering of an excavation. The excavation is required for the construction of a storm sewage detention tank.
  • Volume: 1210 cubic metres per day

The Environment Agency must decide whether to grant or refuse the application. If they grant it, they must decide what conditions to include in the permit.
