The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Thames Water Utilities Limited.

Regulated facility type

This is an application to vary a Standard Rules 2008 No 19 permit for non-hazardous sludge biological chemical and physical treatment to a bespoke permit for the recovery and storage of waste at a sludge treatment works.  The process has not significantly changed since the issue of the Standard Rules permit in 2009.  Biological treatment is not undertaken at the facility.
