Smiths Aggregates Solutions Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from sand and gravels at Lathbury within the area formed by National Grid References SP 87644 45903, SP 87831 45627, SP 87808 45450, SP 87651 45387, SP 87430 45599 and SP 87517 45802 to transfer it to the River Great Ouse at National Grid Reference SP 87664 45998 without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water for the purpose of dewatering at Lathbury Quarry between 01 April and 31 March each year.
