Details

The Statement of Public Participation (SPP) was approved by the Secretary of State in April 2013. A first revision to the SPP was published in February 2015. The SPP sets out:

The SPP sets out the process for plan making in the South Inshore and South Offshore plan areas, who may be involved in marine planning and how and when people can get involved. It also includes an overall timeline for plan-making in the South plan areas.

More information on workshops held in Exeter, Southampton and Brighton to inform the how the SPP was developed, and introduce marine planning in the South, is available on The National Archives.
