14 February 2022 - Publication of a notice to amend the IFA for the procurement process to administer the LAA’s Specialist Quality Mark (SQM) auditing service from 1 October 2022

We have today issued an amendment notice to the procurement process to administer the LAA’s Specialist Quality Mark (SQM) auditing service from 1 October 2022 to amend the IFA. This note can be found in the ‘documents’ section above.

9 February 2022 - Publication of a notice to amend the Financial Viability Risk Assessment (‘FVRA’) Pro Forma template for the procurement process to administer the LAA’s Specialist Quality Mark (SQM) auditing service from 1 October 2022

We have today issued an amendment notice to the procurement process to administer the LAA’s Specialist Quality Mark (SQM) auditing service from 1 October 2022 to amend the Financial Viability Risk Assessment (‘FVRA’) Pro Forma template. This note can be found in the ‘documents’ section above.

27January 2022 – Specialist Quality Mark (SQM) Service procurement process opens

We have today opened a procurement opportunity to administer the LAA’s Specialist Quality Mark (SQM) auditing service from 1 October 2022.

The deadline for the submission of tenders for this procurement process is 5:00pm on 10 March 2022.

To submit a complete tender, organisations must submit a response to both:

  • The Selection Questionnaire (SQ); and
  • The Invitation to Tender (ITT) for this service.

The Information for Applicants (IFA) document is available in the ‘documents’ section at the top of this page. The IFA provides full details about the procurement process, including the criteria that Applicants must meet.

Applicants are strongly advised to read the SQM Contract in full to ensure they understand the full nature and extent of the obligations they are proposing to accept.

Tender responses must be made online through the LAA’s e-Tendering system.

If you have any questions about the IFA document, these must be raised through the e-Tendering system by 11:59pm on 10 February 2022.

18 January 2022 - LAA Specialist Quality Mark: Procurement timetable further update

The last update on the procurement timetable was that the LAA expected its procurement process to begin in late January 2022, with services under the new contract beginning from 1 October 2022.

This update is to advise that it remains our intention to begin the procurement process before the end of January 2022.

19 October 2021 - LAA Specialist Quality Mark: Procurement timetable update

The LAA has reviewed its requirement and the timetable for placing a new contract and now expects its procurement process to begin in late January 2022, with services under the new contract beginning from 1 October 2022.

29 July 2021 - Post-market engagement event information

Following the online market engagement session to provide information on the SQM service to interested organisations, we have today published the presentation given at the session, and further information in response to questions raised at the session. These can be found in the ‘documents’ section above.

23 June 2021 – Publication of Prior Information Notice

We have published a Prior Information Notice to alert interested organisations of our future intention to procure a new contract to administer the SQM scheme.

Notices are available from the Find a Tender Service and Contracts Finder.

Interested organisations can register for an on-line market engagement session to find out more and to inform certain elements of the service design. To register for market engagement please email civiltenders@justice.gov.uk by no later than 7 July 2021.
