The Social Security Advisory Committee (SSAC), an independent non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), provided advice on the impact of Universal Credit on passported benefits to DWP ministers in 2012. That report, and the government’s response, can be found in the SSAC report Universal Credit’s effect on ‘passported’ benefits.
