Details

St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust was authorised by Monitor as an NHS foundation trust in February 2015. Shortly afterwards the trust experienced a sudden deterioration in its finances.

Monitor’s Audit and Risk Committee requested that an independent review be carried out into the internal regulator’s provider appraisal operations. The aim of this report has been to identify any lessons learned from this review and to inform how improvements to the processes can be made.
